Each year, Starved Rock Lodge
offers a variety of fun Trolley Tours.

Meet our Trolleys

Ranger (left) & Rita (Right) are ready to take you on a Trolley ride.

Rita seats up to 30 passengers and accomodates one wheelchair.
Ranger seats up to 26 guests in its cozy, charming interior.
Both trolleys are ADA compliant.

In the winter ...
Bald Eagle Trolley Tours during January & February

Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

Be mesmerized by the beautiful bald eagles at Starved Rock. Ride the trolley to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center for eagle viewing and an educational program. Includes your selection from our SPECIAL LUNCH MENU during the week and Brunch on Sunday in the Main Dining Room. Dress warmly, bring binoculars, spotting scopes, and cameras.

Please note: We will not have Eagle Tours on Jan. 23 or 24 because of "Eagle Watch Weekend". Both of our Trolleys will be in service that weekend for just $1.00 per person for an all-day writstband. Trolleys will run from Starved Rock to the IL Waterway Visitor Center back to the Starved Rock Visitor Center and back to the Lodge.

In the Spring ...

Waterfall & Canyon Tours during April & May

Mondays at 11:00a.m.
Saturdays 9:30 and 11:00a.m.

Experience the fun of outdoor adventure at Starved Rock State park with a guided walk to 3 spectacular waterfalls and canyons. We will visit French, and St. Louis Canyons as well as Ottawa Canyon. The tour will also include your selection from our SPECIAL LUNCH MENU and a relaxing, historical trolley ride.

April through November...
Canal Boat & Trolley Tours

Every Friday
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.Ticket price: $35.00 for Adults
$30.00 children (10 and under)

Join us for the newest history tour that Starved Rock Lodge has to offer. Start off with a delicious Hot Lunch Buffet in the rustic dining room at Starved Rock Lodge. Next, board one of our trolleys for a ride to our State Park's Visitor Center. Your trolley will also take you on a relaxing ride to the Canal Boat located in LaSalle. Step back in time to 1848, with period-dressed interpreters on this 1-hour mule-pulled canal boat ride. Finish the tour with a final stop at the Lock 16 Visitor Center. Each passenger will receive a commemorative souvenir.
